| Accommodation
Fees
1. Accommodation fees are only valid for the person and dates specified.
Students forfeit accommodation fees for the days involved if they arrive late,
are absent or leave before their accommodation ends.
2. There is no reduction in the weekly accommodation rate where a student
is accommodated for part of a week.
3. Students must make all accommodation payments directly to the School and
NEVER to the host family or residence
4. Accommodation fees are non transferable, non refundable and non changeable.
5. In the unlikely case of a student and family proving incompatible, we are
prepared to move the student. One weeks notice is required. If a student should
become unreasonably demanding or has extreme difficulty in adjusting to his
/ her new environment, the student will be given the choice of remaining where
he / she is or finding alternative accommodation by him / herself.
6. In arranging accommodation, the School is acting as the supplier’s
agent.
Airport Meeting Service
1. Airport meeting service charges are non transferable, non refundable
and non-changeable.
2. A maximum of two hours waiting time is included in the airport meeting
service charge. Additional waiting time is chargeable at the rate of £15
per hour. Waiting time charges commence two hours after the arrival time given
to the School by the student.
3. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure the School has the correct
arrival details. If incorrect arrival details are given and the student is
subsequently not met, no refund will be given.
Refunds & Visa Refusals
1. If the immigration authorities refuse a visa to enter the UK no refund
will be given under any circumstances, unless the Processing Fee is paid and
all original documents are submitted. Even if the Processing Fee is paid and
the immigration authorities refuse a visa due to one or more of the following
reasons, no refund will be given:
a) a lack of funds.
b) providing incorrect information to the School.
c) providing incorrect information to the immigration authorities.
d) working without a work permit.
2a) If leave to remain in the UK is refused, No refund will be given unless
the Processing Fee is paid and all other terms & conditions have been
adhered to.
2b) Even if the Processing Fee is paid and the immigration authorities refuse
leave to remain in the UK due to one or more of the following reasons, no
refund will be given:
a) past and / or present poor attendance.
b) a lack of funds.
c) providing incorrect information to the School.
d) providing incorrect information to the immigration authorities.
e) working without a work permit.
2c) If leave to remain in the UK to continue studying at the School is refused,
as long as the Processing Fee has been paid a full refund less an administrative
charge of 1 weeks tuition fee, (see appropriate fees table) and fees for courses
booked up to and including the week in which the School is notified will be
made, provided the School is notified in writing and original documents issued
by the School and immigration authorities are received by the School within
2 days of any such refusal. 2d) It must be noted that if paying by instalments,
the 10% surcharge will also be forfeited, should any refund be due.
3) If a visa application is withdrawn, no refund will be given.
4) If a student is refused a student visa but is granted another kind of visa,
whether to enter or remain in the host country, no refund will be given.
5) If a student is dismissed for poor attendance or misconduct, no refund
will be given.
6) Refunds will only be made in the name of the student, regardless of who
paid for the course. Refunds will only be made by cheque or bank transfer.
Any bank charges must be paid by the student.
7) All refunds will take approximately 5 weeks from the date all original
documents required by the School are received by the School.
Discipline
1) In the case of flagrant misconduct or proven criminal offence we reserve
the right to expel any student, having given due notice to the parent / guardian
in the case of students under 18 years of age. In the event of such expulsion
no refund of fees will be made.
2) All students are expected to behave in an orderly manner. Wilful damage
to School property or threatening behaviour to personnel is considered to
be of gross misconduct. Students will be held personally responsible for rectifying
any wilful damage to School property or personnel in the case of such misconduct.
Force Majeure
It is a basic stipulation of the agreement/contract between students and
the School or its representatives, that neither the School nor its representatives
are liable for refunds or damages, howsoever arising, in cases where the School
is unable to fulfil any services to which they are contractually bound because
of labour disputes, or other reasons which are beyond their control.
Liability
The School is fully insured with Public Liability Insurance
1) Students are advised that the School, its employees and its representatives
accept no responsibility for personal injury and /or loss of / damage to personal
property on the School premises, whether by fire, burglary, theft or otherwise.
This condition also applies to public and private places when students are
on School trips/excursions.
2) The School is not responsible for the safekeeping or delivery of any fax,
post etc sent to students at the School addresses. Nor is the School responsible
for the safekeeping of exam results or certificates.
General
1) Students may from time to time be photographed, the photographs of which
may be used in the School’s promotional/ publicity material. The School
reserves the right to all photographs which may be used in any way the School
sees appropriate in promoting itself. The copyright to all photographs shall
belong to the School.
2) The School does not provide any parking and/or storage facilities of any
kind including the storage of bicycles. Bicycles must be left outside the
School premises at the owner’s risk.
3) We regret that the School has no facilities for people with disabilities,
nor is able to provide such. However a lift is available.
4) No personal calls or messages can be taken at any time by the School offices
on the behalf of students, other than in a real emergency.
5) It is the policy of the School not to disclose any personal details of
any students to a third party, other than to the appropriate authorities,
without the prior written authority of students previously and currently enrolled.
