At our language school in UK, East London School of English, we run General English courses in London in the English Language for students of all ages (minimum age 16), all year round. The English School London is only closed for one week at Christmas. You can enrol at any time and start your course any Monday. Our flexible timetable allows you to study English in UK and attend the English course of your choice at the time that suits you.
You may choose your English lessons based on the number of hours you want to study for and the time of the day you want to study at.
General English Courses London that are available, do include:
- super-intensive course of 30 hours per week
- intensive course of 20 hours per week
- standard course of 15 hours per week
Sessions available include:
- morning session 9.00 - 12.10
- midday session 12:35 - 15.45
- late afternoon session (proficiency level) 15:50 - 19.00
There is a 10 minute break in the middle of each session.
Our methods to learn English in UK and the approach teaching English help students to develop their language skills in order to be able to communicate effectively in an English speaking environment. Our lessons are based around topics which incorporate the basic skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Methodology
Our methods and approach apply to all General English and exam preparation courses.
Student-centred teaching is recognised as the most effective way to learn languages. The Director of Studies guides all teachers in focussing on each individual’s language needs. Teaching includes all aspects of the English language such as grammar, functions, phonology and vocabulary. We use interesting classroom activities carried out through pair and group work to encourage interaction and to motivate students. Our friendly staff enjoy a very good relationship with the students, creating the optimum environment for learning.
Our staff offer guidance and support to all our students from the moment they enquire about the language courses until they complete their studies.

One-To-One Intensive English Course London
Intensive English courses specifically designed for you as an individual student. These classes can be taken at any time during the day, and for any combination of hours. It is also possible to combine the One-To-One course modules with our General English, Business English and Intensive IELTS courses.
With all One-to-One Course modules a detailed needs analysis is carried out beforehand in order to assess the student needs. This can be done orally or in writting. The programme of the course is adopted to match individual requirements.

Exams
Cambridge and other examinations:
Cambridge examinations in English as a Foreign Language are known all over the world and are recognised by employers and institutions in many countries. As the examinations cover the four language skills, i.e. listening, speaking, reading and writing, they indicate the ability of the certificate holder to communicate effectively in English. We offer courses using relevant course materials, and extra homework help is available to practice for the exams. The exam fee is not included in the course price and is between £90 - £110 for an exam.
International English Language Testing System (IELTS). This exam is designed for those who wish to study at a university in Britain. It covers all aspects of academic reading and writing as well as listening and speaking. We do offer courses relevant to this exam. The exam fee is not included in the course price and is between £90 - £110 for an exam.
