& Tuition Fees
1. Students must be 16 years of age or over
2. All fees due to the School must be paid, in full, prior to the commencement
of the courses
3. Tuition fees do not include: Travel, accommodation, social programmes,
external examination fees, personal and health insurance, bank charges on
international money transfers or course materials, ie: books, cassettes, photocopies,
pens, pencils and paper.
4. Fees are NOT transferable to another student under any circumstances.
5. There is no reduction or refund in fees where a course includes a public
holiday.
Course Bookings
1. Start dates can be altered prior to the commencement of the course booked.
An additional charge of £25 will be made for each change. This is based
on the assumption that a visa has not been refused.
2. Start dates can only be changed to a maximum of 4 weeks before or after
the original booked start date.
3. No extension to courses will be allowed by payment of additional fees.
Any such additional fees paid will be treated as a new course booking.
4. Courses will NOT be extended due to any unauthorized absences and / or
uncertified illness.
5. Students studying Conversation/Pronunciation classes are not permitted
to change the time of their classes, once booked.
6. An administrative charge of £50 will be made if students wish to
change the type of course they are studying (eg: from General English to Business
English). Any additional course fees due will also be charged.
7. All students must book holidays at least 1 week in advance, and for a full
week commencing on a Monday. Holidays cannot be taken mid-week or carried
forward from one course booking to another. The maximum authorised
holidays are:

Students who have paid for less than 8 weeks are NOT entitled to any authorized
holidays. Holidays can be changed and / or cancelled. An admin fee will be
charged for this.
8. All class changes must be requested by completing the appropriate form
in person. All such forms must be completed on or before Wednesday (6.30pm),
for transfers to be effective from the following Monday. Classes CANNOT be
changed mid-week or for the same level at the same time. Please note that
you can only change class if there is a space in the class into which you
wish to transfer. A small fee will be charged for moving class time.
9. If a student fails to start on the commencement date or leaves the course
prior to the completion of the course, the student’s name may be removed
from the class register without any refund or replacement in another class.
10. The School cannot guarantee the time of a student’s course, although
every attempt is made to place students at the time of their choice.
11. The School reserves the right to change any teacher, class time and /
or room and to combine classes if necessary
12. It is the responsibility of the student to book a course sufficiently
in advance, in order to complete all visa requirements, if necessary. No extension
to course bookings will be given if formalities are not completed in time.
Please note payments by bank transfer can take a long time (4-8 weeks) and
letters can only be issued after the School has confirmation from its bank.
13. Cooling off Period: (valid only for courses booked via Post, Fax, Internet)
You have 7 days from date of booking a course to cancel provided that: (a)
The course has not commenced or is due to commence within 7 days. (b) No documents
have been issued by the School except for the receipt of monies paid. Should
you wish to cancel within 7 days of booking, the School must be notified by
either fax, e-mail or writing only.
Language Level
If after the School Placement Test a student is found to be at a lower level
than the minimum start level for his / her course, the School reserves the
right to place the student in a class more appropriate to their needs, until
an appropriate language level is reached. There is no right to financial compensation
for any such course change. This also refers to examination courses, such
as
the Cambridge First Certificate.
Attendance
If student’s attendance (excluding authorized holidays) falls below
80%, their name may be removed from the class register and they may not be
allowed to continue their studies.
